We have a provisional commitment from five leading academics to deliver keynote sessions at the conference. These are:

• Professor Michael Novak
• Professor Shirl Hoffman
• Professor Ken Ravizza
• Professor James Mathisen

 Further biographical details of the keynote speakers and conference details can be seen on the attached flyer. Formal planning of the conference will commence January 2006 and the first Call for Abstracts will be in approximately March 2006. The conference will be multidisciplinary and will draw together scholars, athletes, mangers etc to engage in a critical discussion about sport, spirituality and religion. At present we have a database of 160 individuals that are interested in attending the conference. These are mainly academics, although a number of sportspersons, managers and coaches have also expressed an interest in attending the conference and collaborating with members of the Centre for the Study of Sport and Spirituality on various projects.
